Back to reality

Alright so I went back to the salads and lower carb options...at least partially.

did a couple kick ass work outs, one swimming... one running...one with crazy wall sits and holding with lunges till I puked....

Feel better...back down like 6 lb's so it's a lot better....

Pants do not fit....belt needs new loops big time....

If only I hadn't drank my fill over the last 4 days....I might be even better...

Running the other day was great....went to this small park above Alewa Heights... I have wrote about it before, but I do not think I have a picture yet....I like it there.

Well doing laundry, typing, texting, reading, listening to music...gotta go, don't have to go to work till 11....

but I have to bus it in.....yes oh yes, scooter head light crappped out again...

didn't feel like getting killed because I got out of work late around 730....in the dark.......so I have to bring it in again.....

se la vie?

Do it now...what can you do now...right now....to make your life a little better?

that's right, I will empty laundry and put it in dryer...and do the dishes....yeah me... :(

oh I tried to make lamb the other night....pesky pesky bitch of a meat that Lamb, smells like total dead ass....cooks weird....tastes tough as hell and I boiled over my gravy so the cream curdled, but I was using evaporated skim milk instead of cream to thicken and add creaminess.....well I shit the bed and made a crap meal...

but I was drinking Rogue Brewery Hazelnut Brown Ale....WOW WOW WOW, best beer I've had in a while....I just want to drown sausages and onions in the stuff and simmer it to death and then add some spicy brown mustard....seriously it's such a rich good sweet hearty tastey beverage that you too may find yourself imaginging how it could add flavor to anything...

The Job

So my boss sold the business...

but pretty much everything will stay as is for awhile.

This software designer/pest control/real estate investor/Argentinian ball room dancer has take over the reigns....

my former manager boss and PT is so happy to be out of the hassle of all the payments and billing and shit and headaches that go along with it.

I'm ok with it...except it's a bit harder because he has no idea what's going on for the moment and is having a bit of a time adjusting to phone calls and shit that need to be done, when to help, how to help, when to leave me alone, when to intervene.

But he has big plans....he wants to make it into more of a studio look and feel, with hard wood floors and the like.

He is working on purchasing and installing a whole system of software and a network with all this tablet PC's so we can go wireless and go paperless....all electronic (well as much as you can in a health care setting) whole new scheduling interface and all that good shit...

been working on some Ideas to run my own classes.....mainly a foam roller self stretch massage recovery class....and one for the LB focused on the core strength in the pelvis and shoulder girdle....

also will be meeting with a new client, private who wants to work with me on some sport specific training for baseball, he plays for division 1 School in california but lives in Hawaii and wants a new program...

I have been scrambling putting together some ideas and look at all sorts of DVD's and books to focus my attention to give him the best program catered to his specific needs and to give him a calender with a progression of exercises to follow....

actually kinda exciting stuff....Always have that passion for baseball.

well keep it up people....you can rest when your dead.....

a statement made by one of my patients to me....he is 53 recovering from shoulder surgery and is basically an animal when it comes to working out....yeah that's exactly why his shoulder went out....but that's exactly why his shoulder is going to get better...he is impressive in that sense...and is very fun to train

Chris Rock

Saw chris rock live in concert on saturday.

great show, I highly recommend it, if you ever have the opportunity take advantage,

"Women never backtrack in Lifestyle men never backtrack in their sex life"

one of the greater topics discussed.

Afterwards a few of us went to a club inside a large hotel called Rumors....ooh...

Yeah was a mixture of old and young black white asian.

Hip Hop-fifty cents....Rock AC/DC white snake....Trance...electronic dance....80's...pretty much everything was free game...laughed a lot.

they had a few strange cages on the corners of the dance floor the bars were made mostly of bungee cord material....thus allowing easy access to anyone who wanted to enter the cage and get down.....

very interesting 60 year old woman with hair like Billy Idol singing "white Wedding"...she was writhing and humping the bars something fierce.....

At first not unlike an awful accident or death scene in a movie I violently turned away- hoping I would be spared the haunting visual that would imprint itself within my mind.... NO such luck.

I was entralled by this woman, she was crazy. She was actually having a good time and I applauded her for that...she didn't give an F what anyone thought of her....and some young girls and men entered her cage and tried to push her out.....

She kept fighting making room for herself and her fans....all One of them me.

I passed her near the bar and gave her a pound a high five half a hug into my sweaty armpit....which was like putting a puffy body wash exfoliator into my armpit because the Billy Idol hair was like a sponge and made my armpit and half chest soaked with her sweat....but she was the fucking man, So I had to show some love.

Heard a great classic reminding me of college 112 song with Biggie and MaSe. Broought back some memories.....

Saw the Dark Knight....wow
saw The Wackness....wow bring back the memories on this one as well in terms of music....pretty cool movie.

New Adventures in Baby sitting

So I had to ride the bus a few times more...

Yes my scooter broke down again.

They fixed it but again I had no vehicle for 4 days.

Riding the bus still interesting, especially late at night.

My workplace....

I have been booking appointments like crazy, seriously we are almost on a wait list... that is a long way from those weeks of 25 scheduled patients and 7 canceling or no shows.

No I have about 35+ booked and most are showing up, I'm counting on some cancellations and not getting them.

think I'm becoming a better therapist.

unfortunately there is a rise in the need for doll's head like the pictures.

It' is a day care center...

seriously lots of babies kids teens are all sitting in the waiting rooms...
my treatments are interrupted by

1. breast feeding (hey that's ok, i'd rather you did it later but it's natural and good for the baby, but can we stretch first please.)
2. Hey was that your 5 year old son that just picked up the 25# dumbells?
3. Oh is that your baby crying or has Satan just possessed them. It's like dueling crying babies at times in there.
4. oh now don't worry, I'll be just a minute cleaning up spilled milk.
5. Hold on I'm trying to stretch your quad, but your son has climbed onto the table and pretended to be spider man, oh and now he's flying, I guess those imaginary spider webs your shooting didn't help minimize the impact on your body lady on that hard floor.
6. Cute little cuties that are wearing pink boots and riding fake horses around the gym... and I'm not talking about my last trip to a strip club. Seriously funny little girl that likes to play in the gym, little 5 year old riding this horse, which then I grabbed a cane and started riding the cane around the room.
7. Oh your child just took the bathroom key and then left it in the bathroom, oh ok thanks little one.

Biggest Gainer

So, Like, cookouts are killing me.

Home cooked meals by friends= Killing the waistline

All star games going like 15 innings hurting the gut. (cuz I"m watching at the bar)

Having some good times, but I think I gained like 5 pounds in the last two weeks.

Interestingly enough been under a little more stress, with a new script deadline approaching and a pretty full schedule at work.

Got a care package from Momma. Thanks Ma, some nice spices and stuff as well as lots of Trader Joes Whole wheat pasta and some whole wheat pastry flour, which are really expensive here.

The beautiful view is my friend Pete's house, sweet Pete, who's fiance cooks up some ridiculous home cooked meals pot roast, jambalayas tamales....yeah good stuff.

So it's back to the drawing board, gotta do a little more stretching and some meditation and keep up with my new friend running.

Yeah, some tough first runs over past week.

had a pretty good session jumping rope, but the calves felt like mush for a few days.

tougher to get my little workouts on at work for a few reasons,

1. busier no time
2. more people present, a massage therapist on staff full time my boss there three days and a new boss now there everyday.

So I have had to schedule out some time to do my activities, of course I took advantage of these late start dates by hanging out later at night... :(

A few friends and new people I have met are looking for activity partners (yeah I know sounds really g a double y) but finding some fellow hikers and runners who are as disadvanced as I am should help.

I did start taking Pilates classes and some one on one sessions, which are very tough but are helping the body and the mind as well as going over some of the stuff I already now and teach my clients....

figured it was time for me to get back towards a pilates body, alright so I have never really had a pilates body, but that doesn't matter I'm just getting healthier and learning some skills that will help me as a therapist... I'll take it.

Cemetary at night

So no, I'm not depressed and sleeping at cemeteries at night being all morbid, this place is about a block away and provides one of the better views for myself, plus I had made some interesting turkey/pork/spinach/pepper balls and had like 8 of them... so I was in need of a little walk.

Some cool views, a couple large humps of volcanoes/mountains all dark in the night settling near the night lights of Honolulu. Old old cemetery, peaceful, this cool stone wall that seems to jut out into the night sky like a man-made cliff.

Also speaking of graveyards, here is a rare christmas tree graveyard from the home back in Mass...

and of course there is a big Wall E statue. I like Wally. Feel uninspired still and will go to movies, thinking Forgetting Sarah marshall (which seems close to home) Hancock, and or Mongol.

Bye

Boring

So I've felt a bit boring lately.

Uninspired to really go on adventures.

Forced myself on a bus around the island yesterday the Fourth of July,
Perhaps is due to recent hangovers, twice in one week is not fun-but I've maintained a bit of a low profile.

There is a possibility to go cliff diving today, not sure how I feel about that one, one said says ADVENTURE go seek it live your life, the other side says cliff and jumping off don't really sound good together.

Well at least for know I'm gonna write a bit. A few blog entries, and I'm starting a rewrite of a screenplay for the Writers Boot Camp which is due in August.

Lets start with these pics.

Well apparently I found Nemo, in a pile of garbage. Poor Poor Mr. Nemo.

There are these cool orange purply-blue insect looking flowers in the front yard.

These are two statues/artifacts that I found while walking through this wondrous city.

P.S. finally got my scooter fixed, apparently 2 cycle motors should always have oil added to the gas...no body told me man....well after 10 days and a rebuilt engine it's been running good.

So I took a circle Island bus and stopped off at a few places, one beach, Halewa. One order of Huli Huli grilled chicken-nummy sweet salty goodness, one large shave ice- always a good thing especially with ridiculous condensed milk...fatty fatty sugar sugar.

Waited for the bus for like 40 minutes. Stopped off at a dollar store and bought Cookie Tins, because I needed storage units for papers and receipts. Then proceeded to use them as drums and played an afro-cuban rhythm (dun kadunk dun dong kadunk dunk dong) Then I started day dreaming like maybe I could play as one of the street people in Kalakau street and have a sign that reads.

"please Help White kid get back to suburbia: Am addicted to cheap labor, all consumable goods, Oil and Starbucks Coffee. All proceeds will be returned to the economy- please Help my disease."

Well I thought it was funny in a bitterly sarcastic ironic kinda way, but maybe the world isn't ready for it yet. (dun kadunk dunk dong, kadunk dunk dong, kadunk dunk dong)

Watched the movie Wall E, which is an awesome movie, very funny sweet cute poignant and has a message, without being preachy at all.

Came home had a little dinner with friends, had some boca burgers and not-dogs again dabbling in the vegetarian community. Watched some fireworks from the Lanai, wished I got off my ass to go down the street and see them from High atop Alewa though.

Now I'm deciding on my Saturday, I would get a chance to watch the sox if they don't get rained out. I could do some writing, which I am. i could organize some reciepts- ooh fun.

Will post again soon.

Oh almost forgot, one of those pics is of some raw oysters and Poke, which is a raw fish product that is very big here, very good Ahi tuna Poke, with some scallions toasted macademia nuts soy sauce served with thai spicy peanut sauce, nummy, Raw oysters were good a little sweeter than usual.

Thanks everyone for continued support and reading.

P.S. thanks Steve, yes that was one of my better stories. and yes there are a couple funnier if not sadder ? stories that are left out of the public world.

P.S.S Feel free to leave comments, always lets me know if people are reading, even though I know it's a bit tricky and you have to jump through hoops to do so.
