Long Days Journey into Job

Hey everyone,

It's been a minute since I lasted Posted, apologies. Actually kinda friggin busy much to my chagrin. At times I guess I wish I had been more prepared and all ready set up with job but then again...it's been exactly the way it should be and some of my early assumptions are wrong and some are right. I think this is the wrong trip to rekindle my Outpatient Orthopedic skills set. Got enough to worry about besides coming home every night and doing research to reacquaint myself with more sports related acute injuries and treatment protocol. It did scare me a bit to be faced with a full caseload of outpatients, but then I kinda figured that is exactly what I should be going after in the first place...My skills rust when I stay in skilled nursing facilities (SNF for those who don't know Pronounced Sniff.) That being said, I've chosen comfort in all forms. I have chosen a SNF I have chosen the big apartment. It is my first morning. My roommate and her boyfriend are pretty cool, Chanida from Thailand and Michael from West V. They both work in somewhat related fields helping the homeless, they have pretty unique perspectives on solving and helping the problem. Again interesting to see how many different categories of homeless and all the unique approaches needed for each one.

alright lets get to some good stuff.

these pics are from my bus ride on the number 55 bus across the mountains to a town called Kaneohe. Actually the bus was only like 20-30 minutes a really decent drive.

toured the facility, above average nursing care facility. Cool workers showed me around, but I would mostly be alone actually.

also the pics are from right across from Ahola Nursing home. one pic is actually of the building itself, it's got a white top and you can barely make it out. But it is right on a hill above Kaneohe Bay which is very pretty.

somewhat nearby is Kailua beach park...(actually its far) and it is awesome more on that later.

Ate at a sushi place called Genko sushi which is really neat. You seat at a counter, ya know like a diner, and there is a conveyor belt that runs all over the restaurant. On the conveyor belt-all different kinds of sushi. You pay by what you take, each plate is color coded. You can order too. It was pretty cool, "hey pass the wasabi" and then someone a few seats down from me and puts the green container on the conveyor belt and I grab it. "thanks"

Oh I had Dave's Homemade ice cream, which is made in Hawaii. It's pricey but good, I had Okinawa Purple Yam ice cream... Bright Purple color.

I have had a car for a few days so I've been running around setting up the apartment. I also went around the island more, I have actually been to a bout half the island now.

more on that later.
