So like I realized something yesterday,
I realized it rains like a mother funker at times, in paradise?
Seriously its like 65 degrees in the morning but it feels like 40. I venture out to my scooter and get going, having to do a few errands like secure the title to my scooter, which I fear may be as they mention in the movies HOT.
But at least it starts ya know.
So I drive down my hill and get caught in this Forest Gump Vietnam kinda rain, It hits my face like razor blades and nails...
I am soaked by this deep stinging rain, (sky rips open, rain screaming down, pelting the women and children, pelting the women and children)
I walk into blockbuster of all places, and rent some movies and get some hot soup, which is recockulous.
Picture a giant togo cup and a togo container. The cup is filled with nice broth. The container is filled with chicken, noodles, sprouts, scallions, cilantro, a lime wedge, a couple hot peppers and a big bunch of fresh still on the tree Thai Basil (has a deep red stem, and a slightly spicier flavor)
So basically I get home and strip from my soaked clothes and enter them to the dryer and I know this is exciting.... I enter a giant lovemaking session with my soup. You put all the stuff together and it kinda cooks it and you are creating and customizing your soup like it was Mr. Potato head. Tastes unbelievable, very very fresh it is called Chiken Fa? and costs 6 bucks... which is a super bargain matinee.
i curl up with sweatpants and sweatshirts and watch Resident Evil Extinction, and wonder why they ever made part 2 or part 3 of this trilogy, should have stopped at one, Paul W Anderson, who is married to Mila Jovovich and made the first Alien vs Predator is to blame again....he was so promising and then he has just dropped the f'n ball.
So the rains subside, I am tired and want to go to bed with a belly full of soup, then I realize I'm in Hawaii, I should be at the beach man, so I go to the beach and swim to this awesome little sandbar, it is like a 50 yard swim straight out into the ocean in pretty deep water, then suddenly your on land again. I'm out into the ocean standing on ground and looking back at the beach. Really cool and really proud my swimming skillz are decent.
So I get to this little mall and eat 2 dolla taco's and have a beer as the sun sets along the water...
I go home and the rains kill me again. Soaked for the third time today, I barely make it home as a monsoon consumes me as I try to get up my hill, I retire for the night a soggy mess and take a much needed hot shower.
starting to rethink the scooter thing, because this rain is actually not uncommon for this time of year, I haven't seen it in two weeks...
